Welcome to the Verho Group
Our group focuses on the design of new synthetic methodologies that can facilitate the synthesis of bioactive molecules and aid research in chemical biology and drug discovery. Currently, we are pursuing various topics related to electrocatalyzed C-H functionalization chemistry, as it constitutes an efficient way for rapidly building up molecular complexity. This includes the development of new synthetic methodologies for elaborating medicinally-relevant scaffolds that are based on 8-aminoquinoline directed C-H functionalizations.
Our group is also fascinated by new techniques that enable expedient synthesis and screening of compound libraries for drug discovery applications. Here, we are currently working on the design of different DNA encoded compound libraries.
